What We Build
Each service below is backed by finished work in our gallery. If it is not on this list, we will tell you straight and point you to someone who does it.

A patio starts below the surface. We excavate, compact the base in lifts, pitch it for drainage and lay the field with tight joints and a clean edge restraint so it does not sink or spread.

Front walks take the most foot traffic and the most salt. We build them on the same base spec as a patio, with consistent joint lines and edges that stay put through the freeze and thaw.

Steps have to be even, pitched to shed water and set on something that will not settle. We match riser height across every step so nobody catches a toe on the way to your front door.

Built for real fires, not for one summer. Proper firebrick or steel ring inside, stone outside, sized and sited so the seating around it actually works.

The centerpiece of a backyard, and the piece with the least room for error. Structural core, correct flue sizing and a stone face that reads as part of the house.

We frame the structure, run the sleeves for gas and water before the stone goes on and set the counters level so your appliances drop in without a fight.

Foundations, columns, chimneys and interior fireplace walls. The work is in the layout and the joints, because veneer is the finish that everyone stands two feet away from.

Rebuilds above the roofline, new veneer and crown work. Water gets into a chimney at the crown and the flashing, so that is where we start.

About Us
North Colony Masonry Corporation is a masonry and hardscape company working out of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. We do residential stonework for homeowners across the Merrimack Valley, the North Shore and southern New Hampshire.
The work we take on is the work we know. When a job needs a trade we do not cover, we say so up front instead of learning it on your property.
Every project on this site was built by our own crews.
Call us or send the form. We ask a few questions to understand the site before we drive out.
We walk the property, check grade, drainage and access, and talk through options and materials with you.
You get the scope, the materials, the timeline and the price in writing. No surprises mid project.
We work the schedule we gave you, keep the site tidy every day and leave it clean when we are done.
Service Area
Based in Tewksbury and working through the Merrimack Valley, the North Shore and southern New Hampshire.

Questions
Most residential patios and walls run about one to two weeks of site time once we start, depending on size, access and how much excavation the grade needs. You get a date range in the written estimate before anyone shows up.
When a job needs one, we walk you through what the town requires and handle the filing. Retaining walls above a certain height and any work near a wetland buffer usually need review.
We build from spring through late fall in New England, and the calendar fills from the front. Homeowners who call in winter get first pick of spring slots.
Because it is the only part you cannot fix later. A patio laid on thin or uncompacted base looks fine in year one and sinks by year three. The base and the drainage are where the money should go, and it is the first thing we cut corners on never.
Masonry and hardscape is what we do. If your project needs a trade outside that, tell us and we will point you toward someone we would hire ourselves.
Send the details and we will get back to you to set up the site visit. If you would rather talk it through, call and you will get one of us, not an answering service.
